Confluence針對一些特定的用戶目錄類型，Confluence 在系統的數據庫中保存了目錄的緩存信息（用戶和用戶組），這樣能夠讓系統更快速的訪問用戶和用戶組數據。一個數據同步的進程將會間歇性的在系統中運行來將遠程的 LDAP 數據信息同步到本地。
數據緩存和同步可以支持下面的用戶目錄類型：
LDAP（Microsoft Active Directory 和所有支持的 LDAP 目錄），Confluence 權限被設置為 只讀（read only）。
LDAP（Microsoft Active Directory 和所有支持的 LDAP 目錄），Confluence 權限被設置為 只讀，在本地用戶組（read only, with local groups）
