二、背景知識
1、 白麵包與黑麵包
貼心的小海蒂之所以答應跟隨姨媽Deta去法蘭克福，其中一個最主要的原因就是給grandomother帶回更多的soft white roll（白麵包），而不再只吃很難下嚥的black bread（黑麵包）。
白麵包是由精白麵粉製成的麵包。精白麵粉是小麥經過脫去麥麩和胚芽層製成的，用它做出來的麵包口感非常柔軟。黑麵包則是全麥麵包，它由裸麥或者全小麥製成，其顏色比白麵包深，口感比較硬。
在過去，柔軟的白麵包只有富人能吃得起，而窮人則只能吃質感較硬的黑麵包。對於grandmother一家來說，口感硬的black bread才是家中的日常主食，而white roll則是非常難得的奢侈食物了。
