本MATLAB程式碼實現了“International Association for Properties of Water and Steam Industrial Formulation 1997 (IAPWS IF-97)”標準的研究與分析，水蒸汽特性範圍為0 - 1000 bar、0 - 2000°C。提供的熱力學性質包括：

1. 溫度Temperature

2. 壓力Pressure

3. 焓Enthalpy

4. 比容Specific volume

5. 密度Density

6. 比熵Specific entropy

7. 比內能Specific internal energy

8. 比等壓熱容Specific isobaric heat capacity

9. 比等容熱容Specific isochoric heat capacity

10. 聲速Speed of sound

11. 粘度Viscosity

12. 蒸汽分數Vapour fraction

以上所有性質都可以用已知p和T、已知p和h、已知h和s以及一些已知壓力和密度的輸入來計算。X Steam是IAPWS IF-97標準所有公式的全部實現，且計算速度快，具有動態模擬的功能。

舉例：

XSteam(‘h_pt’,1,20) return the enthalpy of water at 1 bar and 20 degC. 84.0118 kJ/kg

XSteam(‘rho_ph’,1,3000) return the density of steam at 1 bar and 3000 kJ/kg. 0.4056 kg/m3

XSteam(‘w_pt’,1,20) returns the speed of sound at 1 bar and 20 deg C. 1483.4 m/s

XSteam(‘tSat_p’,1) returns the saturation temperature at 1 bar. 99.6059 deg C
