新出廠的交換機沒有配置檔案，或者你刪除了交換機的配置檔案，在用控制檯登入時，可以進行一些基礎配置，你可以在此處配置一些基本引數。（注：有些裝置沒有setup配置模式，它在沒有配置檔案時會自動按照預設值啟動。）

把控制檯連線到交換機上，開啟超級終端，如果交換機中沒有配置檔案，就會進入setup配置模式：

在上面的配置中，依次配置了管理IP、子網掩碼、交換機名、特權密碼、遠端登入密碼等，並且關閉了Web服務。最後一步選擇“yes”，則交換機把生成的配置檔案應用於交換機。
