蘋果公司週三釋出了 Windows 版 iCloud 的 7.8.1 版本，在這個最新版本釋出之前，有不少使用者報告稱 Windows 版 iCloud 和 2018 年 10 月的 Windows 10 系統之間存在相容性問題，照片同步和許多其他功能都受到了影響。
上週有報道稱，微軟和蘋果正在配合解決 Windows 版 iCloud 和 Windows 10 系統之間的相容性問題。Windows 版 iCloud 的 7.8.1 版本似乎就是蘋果為了解決這個問題而釋出的更新。蘋果在美國區官方網站的 Windows 版 iCloud 支援頁面的說明如下：
Windows 版 iCloud 7.8.1 要求使用 Microsoft Windows 7 或更高版本、Outlook 2007 或更高版本，或者 iCloud.com（對於郵件、通訊錄、日曆）；Internet Explorer 10 或更高版本、Firefox 30 或更高版本，或者 Google Chrome 28 或更高版本（對於書籤）。
而在此次更新之前，蘋果在 Windows 版 iCloud 支援頁面的說明中解釋說，Windows 版 iCloud 7.7 及更高版本要求使用 Microsoft Windows 7 到 Windows 10 2018 年 4 月更新，並不包括 2018 年 10 月的 Window 10 更新。
目前，蘋果官方已經確認，Windows 版 iCloud 7.8.1 已經解決了困擾使用者的相容性問題。不過在蘋果中國區官方網站的支援頁面上仍然顯示為 7.7 版本。
