微軟宣佈 Edge 瀏覽器將切換至 Chromium 核心
簡述
據微軟官方 blog的訊息，windows 的預設瀏覽器 Edge將切換核心至 Chromium，並且微軟將秉承開源精神，在未來更多的為 Chromium專案貢獻程式碼。
微軟具體說了什麼？
原文如下：
For the past few years, Microsoft has meaningfully increased participation in the open source software (OSS) community, becoming one of the world’s largest supporters of OSS projects. Today we’re announcing that we intend to adopt the Chromium open source project in the development of Microsoft Edge on the desktop to create better web compatibility for our customers and less fragmentation of the web for all web developers.
As part of this, we intend to become a significant contributor to the Chromium project, in a way that can make not just Microsoft Edge — but other browsers as well — better on both PCs and other devices.

對於普通使用者，這意味著什麼？
對於普通使用者，一些之前沒有適配過 edge 的頁面會有更好的使用者體驗。
如果你們使用的網頁之前就有適配 ie、edge 的話，更換核心後頁面並不會有什麼差別。
對於 Web 開發者， 這意味著什麼？
意味著更好的前端開發體驗，雖然 Edge 相對於 IE 已有相當大的進步。但是仍然存在各種適配問題。加上 IE 並沒有被完全摒棄。Edge 的出現不僅沒有降低前端開發人員適配 IE 的痛苦。反而又新增了一個新的需要適配的瀏覽器。
Edge 切換至 Chromium 核心意味著前端開發人員能減少許多的適配煩惱。
微軟邀請開發者加入 edge 開發者社群，安裝預覽版的 Edge 並以此測試自己的網頁。
並且微軟昨天剛剛建立了新的 github repository 用於放置 Microsoft Edge 相關文件。預計後續新版本核心的 Edge 可能也會放置於此 Repository， 大家不妨關注一下:

微軟作為一個網際網路行業的巨頭，以往的腳步都是偏沉緩的。
但如今我們能感受到它慢慢變的輕盈起來：更多的參與到開源事業（2018 年的 github contributor 冠軍）、創建出廣受好評的開源專案（VS Code，TypeScript 等）、收購 Github、切換 Edge 核心。
