Looking for a chat product to make a site feel like a meet-up spot for regular users. I'm surprised Facebook or Slack haven't done this yet. A good example of what i'm looking to achieve is https://keyframes.net. I did find this product https://sidecar.gitter.im however Gitter requires users to register/login using Twitter or Github which is a bad limitation.

Im having a hard time deciding on which platform to use for building a live chat community for a hiphop website. Facebook Groups, Slack, Discord, or Telegram seem to be the main options but none can be integrated directly into a website (as far as I know). Creating a WhatsApp group would have been ideal since most of our early members already use it however WhatsApp isn't an option since all members of a group can see each-others phone number which is a privacy issue. Any recommendations/suggestions are welcome and appreciated in advance, thank you!
